This page provides information on our Cut-and-Sew line, the Thea Collection :)
How is Cut-and-Sew Made?
Cut-and-Sew merch is made by live sourcing fabrics and trims, cutting, sewing and then printing your design on your custom garment! In the fashion world, this process typically takes 1 year. Here at Campus Tees, we are able to condense this process down to 5 weeks for your organization.
Because this is a much more custom & extensive process compared to screen printing on blanks, pricing tends to reflect that.
What are the benefits to Cut-and-Sew Merch?
For the past 20 years in Greek Apparel, printing on blanks (Gildan, Comfort Colors, Bella + Canvas, etc) has been the standard. While this is still a great choice, it limits your chapter to preselected blanks, that are typically less trendy than the merch you would see in fashion world. Think Edikted, Zara, White Fox, Princess Polly.
What our cut-and-sew process allows is for chapters to create trendy garments without any real limitations.
Contrast binding tank top with side trims? You got it.
Off shoulder tee? You got it.
Our curated styles are based on current trend research, and allows for your chapter to stand out for events and be the trend leaders on campus. The quality of the fabric we use allows for your members to wear the piece long after the event day.
What should I be aware of with Cut-and-Sew Orders?
Because fabrics and trims are sourced live for your custom order, there are a couple things chapters should be aware of.
- Rushed orders are subject to imperfections such as trim or lace being a slightly different shade, slight differences in pattern, and slight variation from garment to garment.
- We do our very best to source the best quality fabrics for your chapter, however, condensing a 1 year sampling process down to 5 weeks comes with its challenges. Pieces will be of high quality, however, there may be slight variance between actual product vs. mock up.
We recommend starting your Thea Collection order well before the 5 week mark so that we can get the ball rolling on production :)
